Hiring a trainer takes the thinking out of exercise. Essentially, you are hiring a personal health advisor to create exercise and nutritional plans based on your needs and wants. You no longer need to research or guess what might work for your body. Our trainers take the guesswork out of fitness and use their expertise to help you reach your goals efficiently without injury.
You’ll exercise for a full 30 or 60 minute session.
Depending on your goals, history in the gym, and injuries, sessions can vary greatly. Essentially, the sessions are individualized based on your needs and wants. Unless there’s an injury, you’ll rarely repeat the same movement during your 30 or 60 minute sessions. You can expect a highly challenging, varied workout that will improve your balance of strength and flexibility. You’ll also utilize a wide array of equipment and body movements to achieve your goals. All movements and results are recorded and analyzed to improve the efficiency of your workouts. While you exercise, we’ll discuss nutrition, any challenges you face, and exercise beyond your sessions, too.
Our philosophy, training, and education set us apart from all other trainers in Chicago. We help you understand YOU with a natural, holistic, neuromuscular approach. We don’t encourage clients to use trendy supplements to gain muscle or lose weight. We help you learn about your body and become a “human scientist”. With this education (and control over your body), you can reach whatever realistic goals you set. We also offer nutritional guidance in our Slimplicity System-the guidance necessary to achieve your goals but lacking in other personal training experiences.
Results vary depending on your ability level, nutrition, goals, injuries, strength, flexibility, level of stress, and life structure. Most clients lose 1-2 lbs per week (1 lb per week is safest and most sustainable) and 1-2% body fat per month and meet with our trainers for 2 months or more. During this time, you’ll see a substantial increase in energy, strength, flexibility, and tone depending on your dedication and effort. We'll also help you decrease your stress and restless sleeping.
Keep in mind that your diet is the largest indicator of weight loss success (exercise helps sustain weight loss). The first step is recording your meals and understanding how your diet affects your body (with the help of our Slimplicity System). Your dietary change can be as simple as limiting dairy (because you’re lactose intolerant and causes inflammation in your body) or eating meals on a consistent schedule. Either way, we use careful assessment and analysis to help you lose weight or body fat in the most healthy, sustainable way.
